US ambassador visits FAULHABER

Edward McMullen, US Ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein, visited Ticino at the beginning of February. His program also included a visit to FAULHABER Minimotor, where CEO Karl Faulhaber welcomed him.

Coordinated by the Chamber of Commerce of the Craft and Service Industry of the Canton of Ticino (Cc-Ti), Edward McMullen, Ambassador of the USA for Switzerland and Liechtenstein, met representatives of cantonal institutions and visited companies based in Ticino.

In Croglio, the FAULHABER Minimotor ambassador found out about miniature and micro-precision drives that, for example, in the NASA InSight probe on Mars, help ensure that the seismological measurements can be carried out with the highest precision. The ambassador and his delegation were welcomed by Karl Faulhaber CEO and grandson of the company founder Fritz Faulhaber and shown them through the plant.

The aim of the two-day program was to strengthen the relationship between the USA and the canton of Ticino, to better understand the local economy and to promote cooperation with business, research and development.
