Apprenticeship at the KLS Martin Group awarded

The medical technology manufacturer KLS Martin Group has once again received an award for its training. This is the result of a study commissioned by the Handelsblatt and the Social Science Institute Schad (SWI), in which the training quality of more than 2,800 companies in various sectors was evaluated.

"We are very proud that we have again been recognized as one of the best training companies," says Andreas Hupe, Vice President Human Capital Management, Legal & Insurance. “Especially at a time when more and more training positions remain unfilled, the award is of great importance to us. We hope that this award will have a magnet effect for motivated and committed young people who would like to complete a highly qualified apprenticeship with us.”

In 2022, more than 2,800 of the 35,000 invited companies took part in the survey. They answered questions about the success of the training, the supervision of the training and the organization of the everyday life of their trainees. 250 of the 2,800 participating companies received awards. The winners have achieved more than 70 out of a possible 100 points. The KLS Martin Group was able to score a total of 86 points.

This is also shown by the fact that at the end of the training, 100% of the trainees are usually taken on, says Lempp. The company's trainees can also enjoy additional benefits, such as company fitness, yoga or the annual trainee excursions or employee events, which promote coming together and growing.

For more than 100 years, the company has been providing apprenticeships at its locations in Mühlheim and Tuttlingen. Around 15 trainees are hired every year. Although further training positions were created for the start of training in September, there are still training positions for IT specialists (m/f/d), materials tester (m/f/d), machining and tool mechanic (m/f/d) and a dual course of study in the area business informatics open. The group of companies employs a total of around 40 trainees in 16 different training occupations.
