Adhere to the test intervals for small turned parts

Part unloader simplifies statistical process control

The Swiss manufacturer MECHA AG has developed a new small parts unloader with the DepotMini C186S-V. The aim was to unload small parts up to a diameter of seven millimeters from the engine room one hundred percent and to adhere to the prescribed inspection intervals. To do this, the device separates parts into a production batch and a test batch. The desired batch size can be programmed in the control of the DepotMini. The DepotMini stores every xth part in a separate container and can be traced back chronologically. Up to twelve containers are filled one after the other. At the end of the shift, the test parts are measured and the results are documented. The result is time savings in quality control and reduced parts waste. This procedure also reveals possible weak points in parts production. The C186S-V thus makes a contribution to the sustainable production of turned parts. DepotMini devices are sold in Germany by MAW Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH from Sindelfingen.
