OTEC initiates online workshops: Expert knowledge, tips and tricks for vibratory finishing Digital opportunity

Who would have thought that 2020 would be so different and that the coronavirus pandemic would present us all with unprecedented challenges? OTEC is committed to providing customers with the best possible support in their daily work, despite the limited personal contact, and to being there for them – at least virtually.

Helmut Gegenheimer, OTEC Managing Director, summarizes: "The coronavirus is a challenge for us; trade fairs, customer visits, and in-house vibratory finishing workshops had to be postponed at short notice. We mobilized a lot of energy to launch the OTEC online workshops overnight. Participants benefit from expert knowledge as well as tips and tricks for vibratory finishing that can be implemented immediately. So far, around 1,500 participants have followed the OTEC online workshops with interest, and the feedback has been overwhelming. It shows us that we are on the right track."

Thomas Götz, Fraunhofer IPA:
"I received a comprehensive overview of the fundamentals of disc grinding. The explanations of the influence of different parameters on the removal rates were particularly helpful for me."

Benjamin Kopp, Kopp Precision Mechanics:
"I learned the know-how about the various influencing parameters, as well as tips and tricks and their application in the field of disc-type centrifugal forces. This makes me want to start up the system and try it out."

Chris Kollmann, Metal Concentrators SA (Pty) Ltd:
"I had basic interest on OTEC machines and gained knowledge about the full process. The online workshop was very informative and professional!"

Dietmar Elisch, JUNGHANS-microtec:
"We were able to participate free of charge with all our colleagues in the department. Now everyone has the same level of information and knowledge about drag grinding with OTEC systems."

OTEC: Mass Finishing Experts at Your Side. Examples of topics include: process selection and process optimization in disc finishing systems, everything related to machines and processes for drag finishing or stream finishing, overviews, and new developments. Participants' questions will also be answered individually.

Mr. Gegenheimer explains why OTEC Präzisionsfinish is offering this webinar format free of charge: "We are seizing the opportunity presented by this crisis and proving that we stand by our customers as a reliable partner. Customer- and solution-oriented, even under exceptional circumstances. Continuing education is very important, also to emerge from the crisis stronger later on."
