We are looking for a

Data Privacy Expert (m/w/d)

Location: Nürtingen near Stuttgart

Part-time: 32 hours per week

As a key player in our organization, you will work in dynamic collaboration with our Global Data Privacy Officer (DPO), an innovative Data Privacy team, and extensive network of Business Data Representatives (BDRs). Working closely together, we are on a mission to guarantee absolute compliance with the ever-evolving landscape of data protection laws, ensuring that bioMérieux affiliates in the Central Europe Cluster (CEC) comply with privacy laws.  Be part of an international environment and dynamic team today!

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • You will act as the interface between the Global DPO and the Central Europe Cluster affiliates.

  • Lead with assistance of external counsel, the assessment of policies and technical/organizational measures for the protection of data privacy within the Central Europe Cluster.

  • Assist the Global DPO in conducting data privacy audits of local procedures and policies, while also facilitating the response to data information requests of data subjects.

  • You will lead and facilitate trainings on data privacy for the cluster affiliates.

  • Actively participate in the Data Protection community, sharing and exchanging knowledge on privacy-related matters.

  • Manage external legal support in data privacy matters concerning Central Europe Cluster.

  • Lead data protection impact assessments (Art. 35 GDPR)

  • Assess data protection principles and provide support to project managers in new projects for their functions.

  • Serve as the point of contact for the Inventory of personal data processing within Central Europe Cluster.

  • Report data privacy issues or data breaches encountered at local level to the DPO.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Knowledge of GDPR and local data protection laws in at least one of our CEC countries (Germany, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Switzerland).

  • You bring 3-5 years of experience in data protection and data privacy legal compliance.

  • Experience in the healthcare sector or in an industry relying on remote connectivity of systems is a plus.

  • Good communication and eager to share knowledge with others regarding data privacy.

  • A high sense of duty and readiness to report all non-compliances in data privacy matters.

  • Fluency in German and English is a must to be able to communicate across our Central Europe Cluster.
