Electrosurgical equipment veterinary medicine

Electrosurgical devices are used in veterinary surgery to remove abnormal tissue. The units produce a high-frequency electrical current, which runs through the animal's tissue. The electrodes that are used for the procedure cut or coagulate the tissues with precision. In bipolar electrosurgery, the animal is placed on a grounding plate. The device has a high current carrying capacity, which allows the surgeon to cut and coagulate the tissues from multiple sites.

In veterinary medicine, the most popular devices are those used in operating rooms. They can be bipolar, monopolar, or connected to an Argon Plasma or Smoke Evacuator unit. The EickTron electrosurgical unit is a multifunctional device for the operating room. It features a handpiece, cable, and 7 electrodes. It also allows the surgeon to easily change electrosurgical modes. This device also allows the veterinarian to operate the surgical site with minimal pain, resulting in less post-surgical recovery.

The most common types of electrosurgical units are the ARC-Agora, ARC-E, and AC-DC. The ARC-E and AC-DC-Agon-E-Series Electrosurgical Devices are the most popular types of veterinary devices. The RC-ELSY is a bipolar unit with adjustable voltages. The VC-E-Lite is a monopolar device with seven electrodes. The AC-Electrosurgical Unit has an optional ground plate for extra safety.

Some veterinarians use different types of technology, such as lasers and radiosurgery. Some may feel that their clients will respond better to one type of modality than another. Depending on their experience, they may want to offer an alternative to the scalpel in certain situations. These new devices can be used to reduce the pain and save time in the operation room. Many veterinarians have tried other technologies and have found radiosurgery to be the most effective.

The monopolar electrosurgery device uses a single electrode. This electrode applies the electrosurgical energy to the targeted tissue. The other electrodes receive the energy from an ESU generator. A bipolar device uses a bipolar device, which is typically a pair of forceps. The electrical current flows from one side of the forcep to the other, while the active electrode is placed through the patient's body. In bipolar electrosurgery, the tool end serves as a return electrode.

There are two types of electrosurgical devices. The first type uses direct current. The second type uses alternating current and is used in veterinary medicine. The alternating current used in thermocautery is more efficient than the direct current. The voltage is higher in thermocautery, but it has the advantage of being more effective. The SU 50-MPC is a basic monopolar electrosurgical device with a maximum output power of 80W.

The main difference between the two is the type of electrode used. The former uses a small, battery-operated electrode. The second uses a wire made of metal to coagulate tissue or coagulate small blood vessels.
