Gas background printing process (GHD)

Many companies are now using argon-helium as gas backgrounds for their 3D printing processes. The choice of gas mixture has many benefits, but it also requires a special print chamber. The combination of these two inert gases affects the overall quality and speed of the parts. Linde recently developed a new argon-helium gas mixture that produces dark lines on a white background. Several factors are involved, including the effect of the inert gases on part quality and print speed.

Ink in this process changes form from solid to gas. It can be either red or blue, and the varying sizes and shapes of dots will create a distinctive, durable image. The ink will not crack or leak, and it will not disintegrate. The ink is unable to change from solid to liquid, and the process is controlled by both heat and pressure. Unlike other types of printing, this process requires a special type of fabric, which will ensure a high quality print.

The most common gas-based background printing process is intaglio, a technique that uses the ink in its solid state. This method can produce a wide range of color combinations, including black and white. Aside from reducing the amount of spatter emissions, this method is also ideal for producing detailed photos and artwork. And unlike other methods, argon-helium ink can be made permanently permanent.
