Physiotherapy lasers are one of the latest advances in the field of physical therapy. These devices use focused energy to improve the healing process of muscles and tissue damage. The laser stimulates cell activity, increasing the body's ability to repair damaged tissues. It also boosts the production of beneficial antioxidants, known as superoxide dismutase. Using a physiotherapy treatment can help relieve pain, increase mobility, and improve the condition of many musculoskeletal conditions.

Physiotherapy lasers are highly effective in the treatment of muscle disorders and other health problems. The energised cells in the body respond to the treatment. The energised cells in a tissue respond to the healing force of a laser. Moreover, the device is very compact and can be easily carried from one location to another. Hence, it can be used in different settings, such as a clinic or at home.

HPLT is a common treatment for muscle injuries. It involves a low power laser unit that produces a continuous beam of light. The power of the treatment laser is modulated by a signal-generator/synchronizer. It includes a dichroic mirror for combining the treatment and analysis beam. In addition, it has a deflector that scans in unison to reduce divergence. The treatment laser is filtered by a photodetector and amplified by an optical filter. The output of the amplifier 14 is sent to a threshold device 20. The modulator 10 controls the output of the treatment and analysis laser.

A typical injury entails dozens to hundreds of square centimeters of tissue damage. In order to treat these larger areas, the treatment must have the same therapeutic dose over the entire area. A low power laser, however, is only suited for small areas, and the treatment may last for 30 minutes or more. This type of treatment is also not recommended for patients who have internal pain pumps or pacemakers. When applied improperly, it may cause a range of side effects.

Currently, there are two major types of physiotherapy lasers: conventional lasers and non-conventional lasers. Both types of lasers require a cavity, active medium, and power source to work. These devices are most commonly used in physical therapy. The LightForce 40 watt XLi therapy laser is a high-powered physiotherapy laser that helps patients with chronic pain. It reduces inflammation and is ideal for treating muscular and skeletal problems.

A high-powered, 30 watt laser produces 18,000 joules of light in 10 minutes. This is enough to reduce pain in many types of injuries. A lower-power laser is ideal for chronic pain. It can also be used to treat a variety of ENT conditions, including tonsillitis and tinnitus. Although it is not considered a medical treatment, the benefits of transcranial X-ray can be significant.
