Ever since the company was founded, OTEC has set itself the goal of reinventing mass finishing. Innovative new processes such PULSE FINISHING enable OTEC to replace conventional methods such as the so-called Superfinishing. As a rule the objective of these applications is to give the workpiece a certain quality of surface finish ( e.g. Rpk values < 0.1 µm.)
Improved surface quality entails increased percentage contact area, less friction and less wear. The advantage over the traditional Superfinishing process is that OTEC's precision finishing process gives a high-quality finish and at the same time deburs and rounds to a specified degree.
