Press Release | KLS Martin Group increases global sales by 16%

The Tuttlingen-based KLS Martin Group increased its worldwide sales by 16% in the past 2022 financial year and, after 2021, once again achieved record sales of EUR 385 million. As in previous years, the USA, Germany, Italy, Great Britain, Spain and the Middle and Near East made a significant contribution to overall sales. More than half of the turnover is generated with implant systems for oral and maxillofacial surgery as well as hand surgery and traumatology.

For 2023, Christian Leibinger expects double-digit sales growth again. Particular attention is paid to patient-specific solutions. “The demand for patient-specific solutions has increased significantly. We are continuously working on expanding our range of applications and offering additional indications," explains Christian Leibinger.

In order to be able to realize the sustained growth, the KLS Martin Group is expanding its capacities at the various locations. Planning for the new company headquarters, the expansion of the logistics building and a new multi-storey car park in Tuttlingen are already in full swing. "We are happy to have the city as a partner at our side, who supports us in our construction projects," adds Karl Leibinger. There is also a lot of construction going on at the Jacksonville site in the USA. The new research and development building with production is to be completed here this year.

The integration of the two Mühlheim companies Rudolf Buck GmbH and Mondeal Medical Systems GmbH as well as the Fridingen-based company Lawton GmbH & Co. KG is now almost complete. More changes are coming in 2023. "In the course of the year, the three remaining operating companies of the KLS Martin Group will be combined into one company, which will in future be known as KLS Martin," explains Thomas Hipp. Specifically, the three German companies are Karl Leibinger Medizintechnik from Mühlheim, Gebrüder Martin from Tuttlingen and KLS Martin in Freiburg.

"For 2023, many events are planned in Tuttlingen and on site at the customers. After two years, the annual sales conference in February was finally able to take place again in the KLS Martin WORLD visitor center in Tuttlingen,” says a delighted Michael Martin. 200 colleagues were on site for this occasion. In addition to clinical lectures and an outlook for the year 2023, various product workshops were also on the program.
