Effective environmental protection and cost minimization

The principle of centrifuge treatment: Particles separated from the process water by centrifugal force are compressed into sludge, which is collected in the centrifuge container. Depending on the design, the sludge is discharged manually or automatically and is ready for proper disposal.

The addition of suitable process water purifiers leads to effective and comprehensive solids separation and a sludge quality with low residual water content that meets the usual disposal requirements.

"For sludge discharge, which occurs more frequently than every four hours, the automatic solution is worthwhile, as it significantly reduces personnel requirements. Depending on the centrifuge's capacity, several vibratory finishing systems can be connected to one centrifuge," adds Thomas Gegenheimer, drawing on his many years of project experience.

Advantages of process control in vibratory grinding with recirculation systems

In summary, the modern OTEC process control in vibratory grinding with recirculation systems offers the user clear advantages in many respects:

  • Reduction of water consumption by about 90% compared to fresh water operation
  • Compound savings of up to 80% compared to fresh water operation
  • Sustainable reduction of wastewater
  • Minimal use of process chemicals (compound and process water purifier)
  • No permit or monitoring requirement for process water treatment plants in the recirculation system
  • No regulatory monitoring and documentation requirements for closed-loop systems
optimal working conditions

The quality of the process water as well as the quality of the compounds used ensures the continuous reliability of the entire system:

The water hardness of the process water should be between 4 and 15 °dH. In most cases, this is already achieved due to the quality of the fresh water used. If this is not the case, it can be easily adjusted using appropriate treatment agents.

The process definition must take into account that the compounds used are recyclable due to their chemical composition and permanent usability in aqueous systems. Consumption is low and is documented by simple control measures and ensured by manual or automatic dosing. The very low foaming tendency of the compounds used ensures process reliability, even under the high mechanical demands of centrifuges.
