After the treatment or manufacturing of metallic workpieces, it is usually necessary to free them of sharp edges or slivers (burs). The term 'deburring' is used mainly in the metalworking industry to describe this process.
OTEC's ECO and CF machines are especially suitable for deburring bulk materials. For heavier and larger workpieces which must not come into contact with one another during processing and which must fulfil the highest requirements, the drag finishing or stream finishing machines are used. For deburring, the choice of the right abrasive media is absolutely critical. The burs must under no circumstances be merely bent over, but must be removed.
