Effective environmental protection and minimization of costs

The circulation of process water with modern centrifuge technology from OTEC is a leader in vibratory finishing. For processing, OTEC connects process water centrifuges to existing or newly installed vibratory finishing systems and creates the necessary control and process technology. Thomas Gegenheimer, project manager for systems and special machines at OTEC, explains:

“Over 95% of the costs for fresh water supply and wastewater can be saved with centrifugal water circulation systems from OTEC! This massively reduces costs and relieves the environment! OTEC offers process water centrifuges in different sizes depending on requirements. "

Process water (marked in red) is fed into the centrifuge. The treated water (marked in blue) is fed back into the process in the cycle.

The functional principle of treatment in the centrifuge: Particles separated from the process water by centrifugal force condense into sludge, which is collected in the centrifuge tank. Depending on the design, the sludge is discharged manually or automatically and is available for professional disposal.

The addition of suitable process water purifiers leads to an effective and comprehensive separation of solids and a sludge quality with a low residual water content, which corresponds to the usual disposal requirements.

“With the sludge discharge, which takes place more frequently than every four hours, the automatic solution pays off because it significantly reduces the personnel effort. Depending on the capacity of the centrifuge, several vibratory finishing systems can be connected to one centrifuge. ”Adds Thomas Gegenheimer from his many years of project experience.

In summary, the modern OTEC process control in vibratory grinding with circulation systems has clear advantages for the user in many ways:

The quality of the process water but also the quality of the compounds used ensure the continuous reliability of the entire system:

The water hardness of the process water should be between 4 and 15 ° dH. In most cases this is already given by the quality of the fresh water used. If this is not the case, this can easily be adjusted by using appropriate treatment agents.

In the process definition, it must be taken into account that the compounds used are recyclable in terms of their chemical composition and permanent usability in aqueous systems. The consumption is low and is documented by simple control measures and secured by manual or automatic dosing. The very low foaming tendency of the compounds used ensures process reliability even under the high mechanical requirements of centrifuges.

With over 25 years of experience in vibratory finishing and process development, we would be happy to advise you which proven OTEC process water treatment solution will deliver the best results for your vibratory finishing systems. We create technically mature, sustainable overall concepts for you that meet the requirements of modern environmental protection, modern quality management systems and mean the maximum possible cost-effectiveness and process reliability for you.
