OTEC initiates online workshops: Expert knowledge, tips and tricks on vibratory grinding

Who would have thought that 2020 will be completely different and that the corona pandemic will present us all with unprecedented challenges. For OTEC, it is very important to provide customers with the best possible support in their day-to-day work despite the limited personal contact and - at least virtually - to be at their side.

Helmut Gegenheimer, OTEC Managing Director, sums up: “The coronavirus is a challenge for us, trade fairs, customer visits and vibratory finishing workshops in-house had to be replaced at short notice. We mobilized a lot of energy to bring the OTEC online workshops to life overnight. The participants benefit from expert knowledge as well as tips and tricks on vibratory grinding that can be implemented immediately. So far, around 1,500 participants have followed the OTEC online workshops with interest and the feedback has been overwhelming. They show us that we are on the right track ":

Thomas Götz, Fraunhofer IPA:
“I received a comprehensive overview of the process fundamentals of disc centrifugal force. From a technical point of view, the explanations about the influence of the different parameters on the removal rates were particularly helpful for me. "

Benjamin Kopp, Kopp Precision Mechanics:
“I took with me the know-how about the various influencing parameters as well as tips & tricks and their application in the field of disc centrifugal force. That makes you want to start the system and try it out. "

Chris Kollmann, Metal Concentrators SA (Pty) Ltd:
"I had basic interest on OTEC machines and gained knowledge about the full process. The online workshop was very informative and professional! "

Dietmar Elisch, JUNGHANS-microtec:
“We were able to participate free of charge with all colleagues in the department. Now everyone has the same level of information and knowledge about drag grinding with OTEC systems. ” Examples of topics are: process media selection and process optimization in disc finishing systems, everything to do with machines and processes for drag grinding or stream finishing, overview and new developments. Participant questions are also answered individually.

Mr. Gegenheimer explains why OTEC Präzisionsfinish is offering this webinar format free of charge: “We are seizing the opportunity that lies in this crisis and are proving that we are a reliable partner at the side of our customers. Customer and solution-oriented, even under exceptional conditions. Continuing education is very important, also in order to get out of the crisis later. "
