Plugger Dentale

Plugger Dentale

The Dental plugger was invented in 1884 by the Englishman William Bonwill. The invention was an adjustable and powerful hand-held implement. It could be used anywhere there was an electrical current to drive the hammer. In a report from 1884, it was stated that Bonwill's model had been adapted for use as a tattoo machine, engraving pen, and sculpting tool. The featured post depicts the dental device in use.

A dental plugger is a stainless steel instrument that is used during root canal treatments. It is blunt and finely tapered and is used to force a gutta percha cone into the root canal. Depending on the manufacturer, there are small and large versions of this instrument available. Generally, the plugger is sized to fit a size 6 or 7mm in diameter. Its size varies from 1.5 to seventy-nine millimeters, which can be used for larger or smaller cavities.

The inside of a dentistry instrument includes the condenser and the plugger. These instruments are important for placing the filling material in the cavity and helping the dentist target the correct location for the filling. The Condenser and the Plugger are double ended to ensure proper use. The size of the condenser and the plugger will depend on the size of the tooth being filled. There are also large and regular sizes available.

A dental plugger is an instrument used to pack and condense filling material into the tooth. These tools are used to create the proper contour of the teeth. In addition to amalgam filling, they are also used to restore the natural contour of the teeth. Its square or rounded end is shaped to fit the final shape of the root canal preparation. If you are planning on using a light-curable filling material in your teeth, a plugger will be necessary.

A dental plugger can be used to pack filling materials into cavities. The super plugger is a two-sided instrument with stainless steel tips and is used for condensing filling materials. A single-sided super-plugger can be operated by a hand and is lightweight. It can also be used in combination with other types of a surgical plugger. If you are a dentist, the most popular types of the plugger are made for different purposes.

There are two types of pluggers available for the procedure. Helomolar-typed instruments are used to clean the root canal space and make room for additional tubes. An endodontic-styled finger spreader is made from stainless steel and has a tapered end for movement of the gutta-percha laterally. These specialized tools are made to provide more space to insert more cylinders. This makes the entire process much faster.
