target group

Designers and developers who want to establish or expand additive manufacturing processes in their companies.

content

Additive manufacturing processes are among the major future fields of the industry. New geometries, extended functionalities and customization open up enormous innovation potential - the MedicalMountains course helps to leverage it. After the theoretical introduction to materials, technologies, design and construction, the knowledge acquired is immediately put to the test: The participants get to know 3D printing of plastic and metal directly in specialized companies - from setting up the machines to the printing process and the surface finish. The topic of quality assurance, which is decisive for medical technology, forms the bracket between theory and practice. The course provides the participants with insights and decision-making aids as to the extent to which existing products can be manufactured additively in the future or new product ideas can be realised.
