The seminar on digital health offers a comprehensive overview of important aspects that need to be taken into account in connection with digital products in healthcare. It deals intensively with compliance requirements in the healthcare sector. The focus is on permissible business models, especially in the area of online platforms. In addition, participants are taught the specific legal framework in medicinal products and advertising law as well as medical professional and pharmacy law.
Furthermore, the seminar is aimed at data protection issues regarding digital products. First, an introduction to data protection in the healthcare sector is given and the special requirements for digital healthcare applications (DiGA) are specifically addressed. The use of cloud technologies in the healthcare sector is also discussed and the associated data protection aspects are highlighted.
In addition, the topic of GKV cost reimbursement for digital products will be brought closer to the participants. In particular, the seminar focuses on Digital Therapeutics (DTx) and their possible uses in statutory health insurance (GKV). The seminar deals with the DiGA, DiPA (digital prevention and health promotion offers) and the framework conditions for reimbursement in the EU, especially in France and Austria. The possibility of drafting selective contracts with health insurance companies is also being considered.
