What legal cybersecurity measures do medical technology companies face with NIS-2, the CRA and the German NIS2UmsuCG? Which requirements must be met? What fines are there if regulations are violated? How are the ISO 27001 and IEC 62443 standards helpful in implementation?

The NIS 2 Directive and the Cyber Resilience Act are two important pieces of legislation that focus on cybersecurity and cyber resilience and will impose specific requirements on operators and plant and mechanical engineering companies from autumn 2024. It is important to integrate relevant requirements of both laws into corporate and cybersecurity strategy and development, otherwise there is a risk of fines running into the millions.

The seminar will show the European legal basis and the current status of German implementation, as well as specific standards and their measures for a cyber-secure and highly available IT and production network.
