CANCELED - Workshop - pollen analysis of Argentine honeys at QSI, Bremen

WHEN: Due to the corona crisis, we have set a new date for the seminar. We are happy to announce that we will be doing it from November 29th to 30th, 2021.

The seminar is aimed at experienced melissa palynologists from industry and research.

The lectures give an overview of honey production as well as the botanical and geographical origin of Argentinian honey. In the practical part, the most important pollen in Argentine honey are discussed.

Before the seminar, all participants will be sent pollen preparations to assess the pollen assemblage.

The aim of the seminar is to gain knowledge about the most important sources of honey in Argentina, their pollen markers and the most important pollen compositions.

Valeria Carolina López, researcher at the Agricultural Research Station (EEA) Delta von Paraná, National Institute for Agricultural Technology (INTA) in Argentina - with her many years of expertise, she is considered a particularly experienced melissa palynologist.

We reckon with a maximum of 500 euros per participant (accommodation & travel not included). We can offer a special price of 300 € for students.
The final cost will be announced at the end of the pre-registration phase (February 2021).

The QSI has been testing honeys from all over the world since it was founded. Among other things, she developed methods with which - with the help of the determination of pollen - the geographical and botanical origin is analyzed.

Bremen is located in the heart of Europe and is easily accessible. There are regular flights to Bremen Airport via the most important hubs such as Frankfurt and Munich. There are regular trains (Deutsche Bahn) from Hamburg and Hanover airports. The journey usually takes around 1 hour.
