Endoscopy
Whether the endoscope is rigid or flexible depends on the cavity. Depending on the part of the body, rigid probes or flexible tubes are suitable for endoscopes. In the simplest case, as in indirect laryngoscopy, the tip optics can consist of mirrors. However, it is usually a problem with high quality micro cameras these days. These micro cameras transmit images to the monitor in real time. There are different types of endoscopy in which the doctor inserts the endoscope through a natural opening in the body: he can control the larynx, lungs and stomach through the nose or mouth, the colon through the anal opening and the bladder through the urethra. Other types of endoscopy require a small incision in the skin to reach the appropriate area. Examples are joints or abdominal cavities. Can use endoscopic tools for intervention. Endoscopy is not only used for examinations, but doctors can also intervene: With tubular endoscopes, they insert tools such as tweezers and burrs directly into the tube. With joint or laparoscopy, the doctor can create a second or third path through the incision so that they can use their tools effectively. The doctor can use a bronchoscope to flush the lungs, called a bronchial flush, and then suck out the fluid again.
