ABOUT US

In 1977 H. R. Jakobi fulfilled a dream. After many years in medical technology, the visionary founded his own company with a group of other experts. Parallel to the triumphant advance of the surgical mechanic trade in Tuttlingen, the company also grew continuously. In 2004 his son Thomas Jakobi took over the flourishing business. Three years later, a second managing director, Holger Lücke, joined the company. Elcon Medical Instruments has long made a name for itself among around 400 local companies in the branch. As an established, future-oriented company in the Tuttlingen cluster region, we combine competence and know-how from over 150 years of development and tradition.

It is not for nothing that the city of healing knives is known in the industry as the world center of medical technology. We sell our surgical instruments through a global network of carefully selected dealers around the world. Based on forty years of experience in hospital project management, we expanded our extensive range again in 2007.

Since then we have integrated endoscopy with the disciplines arthroscopy, laparoscopy, urology and gynecology into our portfolio. An independence that benefits our customers and further strengthens our competitive position.
