The BINDER CBF is the high-end CO₂ incubator with humidity control, suitable for all sensitive incubation tasks in GxP environments. It guarantees consistent results even with cell-based assays with multi-well plates. This BINDER incubator can also cope with complex cultivation approaches or individual growth environments under hypoxic conditions without any problems thanks to its extensive range of options and accessories.
But now we at BINDER are going one better by introducing a new CBF model variant that is suitable for highly demanding applications such as cell therapy, gene therapy or stem cell research. Its name: CBF 260 “cell therapy”. This model variant corresponds to the configuration of a CBF 260 with O 2 control with the option "8-fold divided inner door with cell therapy compartments".
In concrete terms, this means that the CBF 260 "Cell Therapy" is compartmentalized consisting of an inner door divided into 8 sections and 4 rack levels, each with a partition. The individual drawers can be completely pulled out through the glass doors and each level is physically separated by an additional metal divider.
The CBF 260 "Cell Therapy" allows you to control four parameters: temperature, CO 2 and oxygen concentration and relative humidity. The humidity control, in particular, deserves attention, as it sets the optimally high humidity level again within a few minutes after the door is opened, thus avoiding unwanted evaporation of the nutrient medium.
In addition, the CBF 260 "Cell Therapy" introduces a refined version of the "Split inner door" option. This option is now equipped with additional partition plates for the spatial subdivision of the incubator to prevent mixing up the sample containers. This tuned option is now called "Split Inner Door with Cell Therapy Compartmentalization" and is available for all CB and CBF models like the previous option.
In addition to this fixed configuration, all CB and CBF models can be flexibly configured with the new "divided inner door with cell therapy compartmentalization" option: Devices with or without humidity, devices with or without O 2 control, size models 56, 170 or 260.
