Tuttlingen/Friedrichshafen – The first AIXCHANGE Conference in Friedrichshafen offered the opportunity to intensively examine the potential of artificial intelligence: around 80 participants took the opportunity to learn practical theory and, above all, to try out AI applications themselves.

The organizers KIM-Labs (Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg), KI-Lab Allgäu-Oberschwaben and KI-Lab Bodensee can take stock of the event premiere with satisfaction. “AI can also be used sensibly by small companies to simplify processes and make them more efficient. But the use of AI does not make sense everywhere. The AIXCHANGE Conference provided exactly the right setting to share such experiences and exchange ideas with other participants and experts,” summarizes Britta Norwat, department head at MedicalMountains GmbH, on behalf of the KIM Labs consortium. An equally important finding: the format was well received by interweaving panel discussions, the OpenSpace exchange and the accompanying exhibition. Furtwangen University, Hahn-Schickard, fruitcore robotics GmbH, KNIME AG, IWT Wirtschaft und Technik GmbH, Ehrenmüller GmbH and KI-Lab Bodensee showed what AI applications look like in practice. The experts Dr. Dr. provided exciting insights into their AI projects in the moderated panels. Robert Jenke (Jenke Institut GmbH), Patrick Quintus (fruitcore robotics), Prof. Dr. Michael Berthold (KNIME GmbH), Albert Heim (Hochland Deutschland GmbH), Maks Giordano (digital strategist and innovator) and Josua Rückert (STS Spezial-Transformraten-Stockach GmbH & Co. KG).

The three AI labs are funded by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economics, Labor and Tourism and are the central contact point for artificial intelligence in their region. With the AIXCHANGE Conference, the AI labs want to make a joint contribution to building AI competence in the region and supporting companies in their digital transformation.
