Tuttlingen/Rottweil – December 9th is all about visions: starting with the vision arena, which then turns into the “talks about the future” in the evening. Both events take place in the Rottweil power plant. Free tickets are available; the 2G plus rule applies when participating on site.
The medical technology industry is one of the central economic pillars of the future in Baden-Württemberg. But it is still strongly overshadowed by the automotive industry and thus remains under the radar of society. In order to change that, MedicalMountains GmbH launched the vision process for medical technology - and it will enter the final round of 2021 with the vision arena on December 9th to formulate a common vision for medical technology. The Vision Arena lasts from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Afterwards, the “talks about the future” begin at 5:00 p.m. (admission from 4:30 p.m.) with keynoter and futurologist Jörg Wallner. He takes all participants on a journey into the distant future and shows what power visions have and how they can best be used in the industry. A whole day dedicated solely to the topic of visions. For MedicalMountains Managing Director Yvonne Glienke, it was a matter of course to combine the two events. “With the vision process, we want to increase the visibility of the industry – and the 'talks about the future' should be a kind of building block for this. With the two event formats, we are already increasing external visibility,” says Glienke. Because both the 'talks about the future' and the vision arena are not just people from medical technology. "Of course we have a strong focus on medical technology, but there are also many networkers from other sectors who want to exchange ideas and look to the future," says Yvonne Glienke.
The managing director states: “It is important that the medical technology location here remains as strong as it is at the moment. Together we are stronger, especially when we look at the challenges the entire industry is struggling with. So we have to make sure that we go successfully into the future together and for this it is important to have visions and to pursue them together.”
