Tuttlingen – The program for the 15th Innovation Forum Medical Technology on October 19th is complete: It spans the spectrum from advanced materials and processes to questions of processing and purity to future-oriented technologies. Among other things, a look at the possibilities of simulation is thrown.

The motto this year is “Taking health to a new level – synergies. potentials. Progress.” The three buzzwords say a lot about what the goal of the day is: identify synergies with participants, exhibitors and speakers, leverage potential together, shape progress together. The lectures are distributed over the large hall of the Tuttlingen town hall, the conference hall and the InnoCamp on the forecourt. Three sessions will take place each time, with lectures on the Open Stages added, as in the past two years. All in all, a well-packaged package of information, insights and findings on research and companies.

The forum day begins with the business breakfast. At the same time, it is the first opportunity to make booked calls or to spontaneously make new contacts over a cup of coffee. Then the first keynote gives a hint to a focus of the Innovation Forum: Prof. Dr. Dirk Wilhelm (senior physician at the surgical clinic and polyclinic of the Klinikum Rechts der Isar, TU Munich) talks about "Model-based medicine - from simulation to better care". In the afternoon Prof. Dr. medical Miriam Rüsseler (Professor for medical didactics and clinical simulation, head of Frankfurt interdisciplinary simulation training FINeST) gave her keynote speech on the "Virtual Room of Error - Identifying errors and saving patients". The complex of topics "Simulation" can be found in a number of other specialist lectures, as well as robotics, digitization and artificial intelligence. There will also be sessions on new materials and surfaces, innovative production processes and manufacturing methods, purity in medical technology and sustainability. The student research center in Tuttlingen will also have its own slot to present successful projects by young STEM students. The offer of being able to test innovative products yourself in Studio 39 has also proven itself. On October 19, participants can slip into an exoskeleton, among other things.
