Tuttlingen/Berlin – A year and a half ago, MedicalMountains GmbH, SPECTARIS and the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) launched a large joint survey into the challenges medical technology companies are facing in relation to the MDR. How the situation has developed and which points need to be addressed to politicians will now be determined in a further survey.
Almost 400 medical technology companies answered the first industry survey in early 2022. Thanks to this support, it was possible to collect essential data - facts that shook Brussels up and gave a significant impetus to initiate changes to the MDR.
One result is Regulation (EU) 2023/607. The new transitional provisions have created some relief. But every company knows exactly: That's not all. Many structural problems of the MDR are still unresolved. The actors continue to face major challenges. Against this background, MedicalMountains GmbH, SPECTARIS and the DIHK are once again concerned with inquiring about the situation and creating evidence:
