Düsseldorf - At the MEDICA Tech Forum on Tuesday, November 14th, the focus will be on per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances: a top-class group of representatives from industry, authorities and research will discuss the status of the restriction procedure at 3:15 p.m. in Hall 9 about how things can and should proceed from different perspectives – quo vadis, PFAS?

One focus of MEDICA in Düsseldorf is medical technology devices and products. This includes a whole range of systems and instruments for which one topic has become dominant in recent months: Do they contain PFAS? The EU-wide restriction proposal for “per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances” is making waves and will be echoed on Tuesday, November 14th at 3:15 p.m. at the MEDICA Tech Forum, which is organized by MedicalMountains GmbH, ZVEI and the industry association SPECTARIS .

The panel discussion in Hall 9, Stand D10 under the title “PFAS – obstacle to innovation or driver of innovation” reflects the various aspects associated with the restriction procedure – background, process, effects. We're on the podium

  • Dr. Carl Albrecht Danneberg (Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health),
  • Yvonne Glienke (MedicalMountains GmbH),
  • Dr. Martin Leonhard (KARL STORZ SE & Co. KG/SPECTARIS) and
  • Dr. Stefan Löbbecke (Fraunhofer Institute for Chemical Technology ICT).

A keynote speech by Meinrad Kempf (MedicalMountains GmbH) paves the way for the following discussion, moderated by Tobias Wobbe.
