Tuttlingen – Technical documentation at the push of a button, digital signatures, risk management: in medical technology in particular, the potential for simplification through digitization is far from exhausted. The first "Info Market of Possibilities" on October 6th in the Tuttlingen town hall will focus on the solutions for regulatory affairs and quality management.

"The requirements for medical technology companies have become so complex and time-consuming that they can be mapped digitally more quickly and efficiently," says Julia Steckeler, Managing Director of MedicalMountains GmbH. The regulations have been tightened not least with the EU-MDR; Standards have become more demanding, quality management has to keep an eye on more and more aspects. Means that not only quantitatively but also qualitatively more has to be done. Therefore, the need for “helpers” is growing, especially in small and medium-sized companies: “We have always been asked which tools are available for which tasks. What is missing is an overview that is as compact as it is wide-ranging,” says Julia Steckeler. Which gave the impetus to give the corresponding solution providers from the MedicalMountains network a platform - specifically, to create the "information market of possibilities".

The event on October 6th in the Tuttlingen town hall is a mixture of symposium and trade fair. To start the day, Heike Krüger from Metecon GmbH gives an overview of existing technical solutions. In short pitches, all participating exhibitors then go into their products and services. Afterwards, visitors to the stands can get a more detailed picture of the individual tools, hold discussions, exchange best-practice examples and receive tips on individual digitization strategies.

The fact that all this takes place in an "analogue" environment is an advantage for Julia Steckeler. “There are still a lot of questions and a need for discussion. With the information market, we want to give room for direct dialogue. Between exhibitors and visitors, but ultimately also between visitors and visitors, who is facing which challenges and where.” This is how new ideas could develop and ideally be consolidated on a broader basis. Julia Steckeler: "If we can give the medical technology companies a decision-making aid to take another step towards digitization and they receive support in this way, a lot will be gained."

Companies that offer a digital solution in the areas of regulatory affairs and quality management can participate as exhibitors; Registrations are possible until September 8th. Further information for exhibitors as well as for visitors under this link.
