Tuttlingen – Six months after the EU-MDR came into force, MedicalMountains GmbH initiated a survey with the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) and the industry association SPECTARIS in order to obtain a realistic impact assessment for manufacturers and patient care. The poll is open until January 15; the answer takes about ten minutes.
The EU-MDR has been mandatory since May 26, 2021 - the associated challenges for the affected manufacturers of medical devices were and are great. Numerous problem areas in the implementation of the complete MDR system make it difficult to implement the regulation securely. The effects are sometimes serious and affect manufacturers - especially small and medium-sized companies - users and patients of medical devices in equal measure.
With the survey, MedicalMountains GmbH, in cooperation with the German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) and the industry association SPECTARIS, would like to collect data half a year after the MDR came into force, which will allow a realistic impact assessment for the manufacturers of medical devices and for patient care with medical devices and provide appropriate arguments to politicians to design sensible solutions.
All data is recorded anonymously and stored in accordance with the currently valid data protection regulations. Answering the survey takes about 10 minutes; which is open until January 15, 2022.
