Tuttlingen – Being innovative means thinking outside the box and bringing the future into today – which also very well describes the motivation behind the vision process for medical technology initiated by MedicalMountains GmbH. Therefore, insightful discussions and lasting insights can be expected when innovation and vision meet on September 22 at the next workshop on recommendations for action.

Of the many areas that have been, and will be, addressed in the vision process, "innovation" holds a special place. On the one hand, it is about advanced patient care. "Existing products are being made even safer and more efficient," says MedicalMountains Managing Director Yvonne Glienke, "New developments open up additional options for users and also forms of therapy that were previously unthinkable." On the other hand, there are economic aspects. "Combined with high quality and reliability, German companies stand out in international competition through innovations," recalls Yvonne Glienke. "Therein lies the strength, but also a necessity in order to be able to continue to exist on the world market."

Innovations in medical technology are therefore reflected both socially and economically. However, in order to be able to design something new, enthusiasm and flexibility were mentioned in the course of the vision process. At the same time, tradition and consistency are very important. "The question is how a balance can be created between the two pairs of values," says Yvonne Glienke. Accordingly, three core questions have been formulated for the next workshop: How can it be possible to be innovative while at the same time preserving tradition? How can progress and permanence be combined? And: How can enthusiasm and passion be awakened in order to continue to exist as an innovation driver? The answers lead to concrete recommendations for action, which will be presented at the end of the year with the results of the other workshops.

Since the topic is of great relevance, Yvonne Glienke explicitly invites all those who have not yet taken part in the vision process or have only sporadically participated. "Before the workshop, we offer an introduction in which the previous steps are examined and questions answered." This brings every participant up to speed. "We look forward to the exchange, to the ideas and the results - to innovative recommendations for action in terms of innovation," says the MedicalMountains Managing Director.

The workshop will take place on September 22nd at Hofgut Hohenkarpfen (Hausen ob Verena). The introduction for newcomers and returners begins at 11:00 a.m., followed by lunch together. The creative work on the recommendations for action then starts at 1:00 p.m. Participation is free of charge. Further information and the possibility to register can be found at this link.
