BINDER customers have ATEX protection

In the European Union, explosion protection rules are summarized under the term ATEX. The politicians wanted to establish uniform safety standards in order to also abolish trade barriers at the same time. The good thing is: ATEX approvals are also accepted in many non-European countries. On the one hand, places at risk of explosion are classified according to the clearly defined ATEX guidelines, and on the other hand, devices or individual components are also classified. When it comes to simulation chambers, BINDER is the only manufacturer that can offer an ATEX-compliant vacuum drying oven.

The interaction of different protection principles leads to a high level of explosion safety, provided that it is used as intended. For example, no point on or in the device is warmer than the minimum ignition temperature of the solvent, and all electrical components that can generate sparks are kept free of explosive mixtures by flushing with compressed air. At the same time, the flammable solvent in this closed system can also be caught in the piston of the ATEX pump and thus possibly reused. When working with dangerous solvents, the VDL vacuum drying oven from BINDER is exactly the right oven, as it is ATEX-compliant and therefore complies with the latest safety requirements. Should an unexpected explosion occur due to incorrect operation, the VDL has a double-protected door with an overpressure mechanism for controlled compensation of the pressure wave. Here, BINDER is once again living up to its mission "To improve the safety and health of mankind". This reduces dangers to people, machines and systems to a minimum.
