BINDER helps develop corona vaccines

The biopharmaceutical company Curevac, based in Tübingen, is working at full speed on a vaccine against the coronavirus. And you are close to finding a cure for this as yet unknown disease or, as the company officially announces: "We are making good progress."

The company, which has already made a name for itself in cancer research, could “start clinical tests on humans as early as the summer”, says Friedrich von Bohlen, managing director of the Dievini holding company. However, if the pandemic continues to run so dramatically, try to accelerate the process even further.

Here, too, as in the high-security laboratory near Bern, BINDER cabinets are used in corona research, as a Curevac employee has confirmed. Standard incubators , refrigerated incubators and CO 2 incubators - without BINDER, Curevac would not be able to develop a vaccine either. The Tübingen-based company uses various BINDER cabinets for research in its laboratory - all made in Tuttlingen.

The reports sound promising: If the company succeeds in the big coup, the vaccine could also be produced in a short time, according to its own statement. “Today, Curevac would be able to produce over 100 million cans per year,” says Bohlen von Dievini.

But not only Curevac is working to find a solution to this terrible disease, the Berlin Charité is also making further progress under the direction of virologist and institute director, Christian Drosten. Here, too, BINDER has a finger in the game with its cupboards.

In the end, it could well be that a remedy for the pandemic is found with the help of the BINDER cabinets from Tuttlingen.
