Everyday and cloth masks have not been allowed for a few weeks. Medical masks and FFP-2 masks have become the standard, which can be expensive if you change them daily. Much more important, however, is security: is it still there if you reuse an FFP-2 mask?
Scientists from the Münster University of Applied Sciences withdrew to a high-security laboratory with precisely this question in order to track down viruses and bacteria. How good that the specialist women and men had a BINDER cabinet on hand with which they could determine that the corona viruses had largely been killed after 60 minutes at 80 ° C. And how can consumers help themselves at home? Is there a solution here too? In fact, say the scientists from Münster, who propose to store the FFP-2 mask in a dry place for a week after wearing it once. In this way, the corona viruses would largely die off.
