We are now in June, perhaps the busiest month of the year. Before going on vacation you have to deliver, complete projects, perform maintenance and plan.
That's why we'd like to give you a few tips before the holidays so that your coolant is working properly again when you return.
Don't give the liquid a break
Stationary machinery and heat are devastating for coolants, bacteria thrive and you risk starting the fall with a time-consuming coolant change.
Circulate the liquid, kill bacteria and maintain the right concentration. Make sure that the cutting fluid is always circulated, even if the machine is not used over the holiday period. The FluidWorker 100 ensures constant circulation of the liquid, which is simultaneously treated with UV light to keep bacteria levels low. The FluidWorker 150 also allows you to set the cutting fluid concentration you desire during the summer break and also ensures the correct tank level is maintained.
Carry out a thorough cleaning of the tank and the chip conveyor. If the bacterial content is high and the pH value is low, the liquid is often far too bad.
This can be easily tested with dipslides for bacteria measurement, which are available from us. If the fluid is fine but the tank needs cleaning, consider transferring the fluid to a makeshift tank. Do a thorough cleaning - it pays off.
