The special feature of our system are the expandable extractors. The universal intramedullary nail removal system is optimally suited to quickly and safely grasping types of nails with an internal thread and it guarantees problem-free extraction. The instrument consists of a percussion tube with a slide hammer and a pressure push rod, which is guided into the percussion tube via a fine thread.
The elliptically shaped extractors are spread open with the conical tip of the push rod. Similar to the principle of a dowel. The tension of the push rod is held by a set of springs in the rear part. Due to the clamping range of the extractors, three sizes are sufficient to cover all internal threads
