CEMSTOP® Cement plug - biodegradable flexible cement stopper
The biodegradable flexible diaphyseal cement stopper CEMSTOP® is used to constrict the medullary cavity prior to acrylic cement insertion. Its ergonomic design restricts cement passage into the diaphysis, facilitates decompression of the diaphysis, and provides excellent protection of intramedullary tissue.
Each CEMSTOP® Restrictor is supplied in a sterile double pack and is available in the following 6 sizes: 8 - 10 - 12 - 14 - 16 - 18. Each size corresponds to the diameter of the medullary canal to be closed.
The instrument set includes the insertion rod and a suitable trial olive for each CEMSTOP® size to determine the size of the necessary cement plug.
