Tecres cement stoppers seal the medullary cavity, preventing cement from penetrating the diaphysis after acrylic cement has been placed in hip and knee replacements.
Advantages:
• The cement stoppers are used in conjunction with a single use setting tool.
• Only 2 sizes for the secure sealing of the medullary canal from 12 to 24 mm
• The elasticity of the setting tool has clear advantages over a rigid setting tool made of steel when applying the cement stopper in an anterolateral approach.
• No additional costs for the sterilization of a setting instrument.
